Anyone have a good recommendation? I'm actually leaning towards Crank Bros Candy 3, but looking for other recommendations from member here.

I ride Crank Brothers. They are light, the best in muck, both frozen and not, and cheap. They aren't as durable as Times, but better in snow and the whole light and cheap thing.

I like crank brother's also, but make sure you get candy 3's . THE OLDER canndies and the smarties are not built to last.

Crank Brother's is the pedal of choice where I race... I'm the sole XTR hold out. Never did get comfortable with CB pedals but that's just me.

I'm like watermoc, XTR. The latest have a much better platform and rarely need any maintenance. I tried Time's ages ago for a couple seasons but could never get used to the feeling of their clip in and hated the lateral float. Crankbros would probably have similar feel and I don't know about the lateral float.

You rarely see local mountain bike riders on Crankbros pedals. Very poor durability reputation in these parts. I have a friend who races cross and he's 6'6" 230#. He broke a pair two laps into a race a few seasons ago. Another hard xc racer I know had the ti version and he thought the bars wore out way too fast.

    Lance who??

Hey, a lot of Euro pro's use XTR pedals, so they can't be that bad. I hear there is a bit of mud and sand in Belgium.
