ECA stack

Sleeping like S lately - mega job stress - crappy workouts, poor fitness in relation to where I should be... up for 4 hrs in the middle of the night last night = ECA stack this AM to cheat on getting some energy to get through the day today and try to BS a workout <sigh>

The good thing is that with very little caffeine consumption/ tolerance, ECA delivers a major kick in the azz. Paybacks are a b!tch though - gonna be a rough afternoon whenst falling off of this.

I'm surprised for a hyper health conscious person like you would take that shit.

I concur that ECA is not the best for one health wise - but I only do this on rare occasions when I need a pick-me-up = handful of times/year. It's like anything - if you're fat and out of shape and take a ton of ECA - you can run the risk of serious health problems. If you drink a liter of vodka you'll prolly have some problems too. For the caffeine portion - I did have a double espresso. The stack affect is significant vs caffeine alone.

I assure you that this is 'better' for me than having my body try to clean out/process animal flesh :)

More or less same here although it is more volume of work than stress. Every morning feels like rising out of a mental swamp. Been limiting the intake to tons of caffeine though, don;t need no asperin or other chemical crap (yeah I know coffee is in same category).

Was in the office last Saturday with ladies till 11:45pm squaring away two big end of fisal projects with 15 minutes to spare. At home by 12:30, back up at 5:30 to watch Flanders, then rode a total of 125km on Sunday. Life in the fast lane.

In huge need of a long long holiday.

I hear you brothers. I sleep so lightly these days. I wake up two or three times a night, takes an hour or more sometimes to fall asleep, wake up before the clock goes off at 6:15. But I do get some good rest on weekends and during the week I sometimes get so tired that I fall asleep on the couch watching TV at 8;30 or something so I go to bed at 9. I am also a lot better at hitting the hay before 10 consistently. Used to be I'd be watching some TV drivel at 11 and then I started thinking wtf am I doing watching this crap.

Part of it is work which is more stressful at times, part is personal life. The wife has been on ltd for five years with post concussion syndrome which is like riding with your brakes rubbing lightly. Over time it wears on you. This week I made a rash promise to tune up a bike for a friend's 13 year old for school racing. Stayed up until 10:30 doing that. Then last night it's pissing rain when I get home so the dogs get a walk instead of a ride and my road bike came in yesterday so I had to build that up. That went late too because I screwed up the brakes. I have the front brake on the right so I need to untape and reroute. Which I did but re-did it as it was, front on left. On the other hand I got good at fishing the brake cable through the tt.

I didn't think you could buy ephedra anymore. I think that it worked just like adderal and that is why it became illegal. I think asprin has killed more people than ephedra.

Copy on life stress Andy. I'm trying not to pull the trigger here myself.

I bought a bunch of the straight-up ephedrine back pre-ban - my stock is well past the expiration date now - but still is effective. Looks like there is still ephedrine-HCL available as a decongestant (not advertised as a stimulant) on the Internets

I usually fall asleep easily but wake early and cannot get back to sleep. Last week I spent in the Blue Ridge Mountains at a riding camp and ended up riding 530 miles in 8 days. I got home late Saturday night a slept poorly again and rode an easy 50 miles on Sunday. I have slept great every night since. Last night was the 1st time in many years that I didn't wake up to pee, and boy my wife was pissed. Just kidding!
I don't get it, but I like it! Try melatonin in the middle of the night when you can't get back to sleep. That works for me sometimes.
