D-A / Mavic SUP 9-speed wheels looking for new home

part of garage cleaning time, I have a bullet-proof wheel set that has served as my back-up through three Rolfe failures and two sets of Neuvation wheels. Always remained my 'true' wheel even if a bit heavy.

Well now that i've gone 10-speed and still have a spare Neuvation rear-wheel it is time for this wheel set to find a new home.

Come as photographed. New rubber, tubes, and 11/23 with unknown miles.

Email me - 'forumname'1@gmail.com that would be code to keep the spammers away from my email account. The 1 is legit.

Not certain what it will take to box and ship these things. I don't have any wheel boxes around but will swing by the LBS to see if they have a tossed out box or two.

Will also be posting on local Craigs list. Probably easier.

JP, tempting! Sweet hubs, 32 hole. 11 tooth. Now that could be fun! Keeper stuff for sure. But, sadly, I decided to go Campy 6 years ago for my wheels so all my cogs are Campy 9-speed. Do I want another cog standard? (Now, all my 9-speed stuff is friction so the spacing doesn't matter. Just a tweak of a couple of screws. But still .... I already have a box of 7-speed FWs and 2 sets of fixed cogs (1/8" & 3/32") and enough cassette cogs to do anything between 12-23 and 14-28.

My smarter self says I should keep things simple and pass on these. Too bad.

You know, I may find room to keep them after I de-clutter the garage. Still holding on to that option.

I'd KEEP those...why not throw a 10 spd cassette on them? Not much else that rolls better than a set of DA hubs!

tai, you know I didn't even think about a 10-speed cassette. Good idea. That would give me a ready-to-roll 12/27 combo.

Glad I could be of assistance...was gonna say it was kind of cold of you to throw those wheels to the curb after years of loyal service...you wouldn't do that to your ACD wudja?
