steelciocc, dude the black /chrome Ciocc is happening!

SLX, yeah...that is what I was referring to. If you and KidWok are all squared away...it is all good.

stinky, how do you like your Helium? i really miss my Damocles since i sold it although it was really heavy. i imagine the helium is a lot lighter. they handle fantastic, don't they? Ridley, Look and Time are the only ones who do the integrated seatmast really nicely aesthetic-wise, IMHO.

also, nice bike trainer setup. perfect shelf to put your pint of beer on between intervals :)

Thanks OlmoRider, Keith and Columbus SLX,

Here are a couple more pics of the black Ciocc. I got the frame NOS from ZAR in 2004.

As for the Cannondale frame issue OlmoRider - there are a ton of them on eBay. I got the SystemSix this summer, a never built-up 2008 warranty replacement, for $750 f&f. The Six13 frameset was around $650 when I got it a couple years ago and I have another one I got for $500 waiting in a box for when I get bored.

If you're patient you can build a pro-level bike off of eBay for well under $3K. Whenever I see a good deal I buy it. My wife wants to kill me for the 4-5 bikes worth of Chorus/Centaur 10 I have stashed away.

@Keith - that thing represents 3 months of my life - My summer between freshman and sophomore year of high school. And it started my love affair with filets that continues all the way through to the present - see the shark. How long you had your ritchey?

    Ciocc - sweet rig.

And Olmo - thanks for posting the pics of your namesake ride. Its good when people keep their old rides. I only ever got rid of one, but am sad I did that. It was an early 80's De Rosa with diamond stays. Sweet, sweet ride.

@stinky - who did your couplers on that soma?

    pa,

Very nice stable young man! Please do not neglect your old Pina on the trainer. Some day she deserves to be restored to her full glory. (Actually from the pic, it looks like it's already in pretty good shape.) I'd like to see more pics of the Pinarello if it's not too much trouble. Sorry, I am a softie for old steel.

In the process of building it up again.

I have some old Suntour Superbe Pro deraileurs, downtube shifters, and a nice Specialized crankset from an old Allez laying around.

Too bad I don't have any old Campy stuff.

    I'll post some pics.

Super - yes, the Thurmont overlook.

Mud - yes, the Specialized is the replacement for the Selma that a Specialized rep helped me locate. I have yet to decide what I want Salsa to replace the Selma with. Perhaps a better cross frame?

If you could have any frame that Salsa makes what would it be?

pa, Salsa is coming out with a ti cross bike at the Frostbike show - QBP's show for dealers February 19-21. It will probably be available as a frameset. Cantis only, may replace the Chili.

Here's the prototype - Salsa employee won Trans Iowa on it last year. My pic for the ultimate Salsa.
