#1. In solid red. Red is my fav for cycling jerseys.
Need some feedback on some t-shirt designs.

I'd use the old Flandria red for jersey, then solid black for lettering.
The wise man said follow me...and he walked behind. -
I forgot, it's a T shirt...would be a nice jersey though. Make it red and I'll buy one.....
-
Jerseys are next Zoot! Trying to use the less expensive stuff to finance the more expensive items. The jersey pics are from an earlier design I did 4 years ago.
Going with t-shirts and possibly some pint glasses for right now...planning on having stuff for sale by spring classic season.

Hmmm... how about coffee mugs?
-
I am debating which one to do first...maybe coffee first since it is cold out and the pints for spring?
Make more sense?
-
Mugs now, pints for spring....sounds good.....

solid
perhaps a belgian goblet/snifter rather than a pint glass. 16oz of my beer is quite alot.
-
+1 on the goblet instead of the pint glass. It's only fitting. And anytime is a good time for a Belgian beer.
OK, now riddle me this. Monsere was a Flandrien but his first, middle and last name are all french sounding. Any idea of the story behind that?
-
I like the idea of the goblet. Will look into it ASAP.
OC, I have to go back to my biograpical stuff I have on him. There is a reason why I am hard up for his biography "Forever 22"...
But he was born in Roeselare and was one of the Flandrian boys through and through. Freddy Maertens was his son's godfather.

This is where I think I am going with my first run of t-shirts. "Monsere" may or may not stay on the Roeselare shield logo depending on how well it will silkscreen. -
Red is really strong for the shirt add a small patch of rainbow striped cloth to the right sleeve and you have a big money shirt.
When you make the goblets perhaps you can use the shield logo with the Monsere on the cross in red?
-
The thing is that every color you add knocks up the silk screening costs substantially.
I don't know if adding three or four more colors (green, yellow, black, red and blue are the World's colors in order) just for the sleeve is cost effective.
I have to price it out and see...

What would the cost be of a linear foot or so of WC-colored ribbon sewn to the sleeve?
-
Yo Mike, I would have to send the t-shirts out to another source after receiving them from the silkscreener. So in addition to the cost of actually having it done, I would have to pay for shipping costs (both ways most likely).
Having a silkscreener do it would be way easier although they would not be able to do band all the way around the sleeve. That is beyond the technology being used.
-
Having said all that, the original logo was a "Rainbow Bullseye". My business partner and I came up with that from the quote, "The wearer of the Rainbow Jersey always has a bullseye on their back".
So...you will most likely see that logo popping up as well, but I don't know if I can afford it right now. Colors cost money...that is why you see people using t-shirt and jersey colors to make their designs happen. It is one less color to worry about if you factor fabric color into you design.

Roeselare is only a few pedal strokes away from Roubaix, that probably explains a Flandrien with a French name. The language divide is close. But certainly interested in learning more and I will keep my eyes out for the book. I'll bug the author again in a month or so :-)
Like the T-shirt very much and would not add more (rainbow or other). But is that the Flandria red, it looks much darker but that's maybe cause all the old pictures are a bit washed out. A slightly paler red will make it less strong.
-
OC, the color is just the standard dark red from Adobe Illustrator's palette.
I am going to check and see how close the silk screen company can come to what I need with their stock t-shirts. If I have to special order t-shirts and have them sent to the silk screener...more costs.
I really appreciate everyone's help and feedback on this, you all have been incredibly helpful!
-
It's worth it for the free shirts.
-
I smell what you're cookin' pa...lol.

#4 solid. Looks sharp!

Ordered the T-shirts today.
Should be in by the end of the month at the latest.
