I nominate Lance Armstrong for UCI Pesident. I will twitter Tweet him to let him know he has been officially nominated here on VeloNews.

His Platform should be threefold at least:

    1) LANCE HAS SAVED CYCLING. Lance has a proven track record of saving Cycling. Many metrics can show how cycling was saved and flourished during Lance's years.

    2) LANCE BROKE OMERTA WHEN IT MATTERED. Lance broke Omerta WHILE he was riding. Lance broke Omerta WITHOUT being offered a Sweet Deal. Lance boke Omerta without being Bitter and Jealous. The Letters Lance sent to WADA and the UCI back in 2003 highlighting blood doping. What did WADA do? They brushed it off. Then came Puerto years later ooops. Lance would NOT let WADA brush stuff off again.

What did Greg do during PDM doping? Tell his lawyer? Yep. What did Greg do way back when EPO first came out? Riders dying. Raise the flag? Hardly. And then EPO steamrolled.

    3) LANCE HAS LAZERLIKE FOCUS. UCI Presidency would be a snap for Lance. Skill Set proven on a Global Scale.

    4) LANCE KNOWS DOPE TESTING. Lance probably knows more about Dope Testing than WADA and USADA and Greg and Ashenden and Floyd combined.

There are so many more aspects where Lance would Rule and Greg would drool. Need to have a Greg vs Lance debate.

It is obvious that Lance is the obvious choice for UCI president. He would bring a great interest and sponsors to the sport. It will never happen though as an American he would never be voted in. Same with Greg, as an American he will never be voted in.

Polish as satirist is often brilliant.
Remember, it was the jester's job to tell the King the truth when no one else dared.

I miss "the old" split. That was some entertaining stuff there I tell ya'.

In fact, I even wanted a button made up for him back in 2008(?).

Nah, he's just layin' around Austin right now. Hittin' that Shiner Bock and munching barbecue. No need for feuds with WADA, USADA, Amaury Sports, et al. They'll have to yank those yellow jerseys out of his cold, dead hands.
