So, built up the Ciocc Carbon Cross bike on Saturday, and it had it's maiden voyage on Saturday evening in a blizzard, rather fitting for a cross bike I like to think.
Did not go with the Paul's orange minimoto brakes, none left, so I used the same style FSA's that I have on the single speed cross bike, Ritchey stem, the W260, pretty cool stem, and seat, carbon seatpost, IRD 32's for tread, Shimano CX70 crank and front D, with the rest being Ultegra 6700 that I had lying around. It came out very nice, and just under 17lbs, which was an accident, I built this for durability, not for low weaight

Hey, it worked today!!! tried several times to post on Sunday, but it would not work for some reason!!
many more pics to follow!! -
very sharp bike - even better if it rides well... nice
-
Very handsome! Looking forward to a ride report once the snow melts.

Cool...I have one of those Ritchey WCS C260 stems. I don't have carbon bars but I wanted to replace my 5 year old WCS 4 Axis 44. Not such a PIA to install as I thought. I got the wet black version. Found one on Amazon.com for $85.

That is a nice ride - enjoy it! Seems a good set-up for racing if you so choose.
Those tires look plenty lugged for mud or snow.

What pic from the Santa Fe area wouldn't be complete with a cattle dog breed in it?
Where ya' gonna' ride it?

Very nive! Neat cable routings. As a proud Ciöcc owner myself I have to ask: how popular Ciöccs are where you live?

Good job, real sharp bike.

Very nice. I'm jealous for sure
-
Nice looking bike. Great build to come in under 17 lbs! Should be a good commute/cross bike.
What's all that white stuff in the photo? Did they go and do another above ground nuke test? Man that can wreck your day.

gawd I hate the SoCal forumites this time of year....
;-)
Actually been very mild this year so far....most days have been above 40* and no snow as of yet.

Nice!

Very, very nice. I like Ciöcc bikes, good on you for getting something different.
Your front derailleur cable routing looks... different. Is that on purpose? What gearing do you have on that puppy? -
That's a very sharp looking ride. Nice work amigo.
That snow looks a lot friendlier than the centimeters of slush I had to slug my way through on the way home. Cars spraying slush made for a major soak. Then towards the end of the ride a rapid fire hail attack to top things off. Joy!
The wise man said follow me...and he walked behind. -
Thanks guys!! the ride is fantastic, a bit stiff, but compliant where you want it, and rigid where you need it, the bike disappears under me, and accelerates like crazy!
Short white guy, going to use this bike in Camino La Tierra, a new MTB park north of SF, part of the Dale Ball trails, and then the Lamy Trail, should be a hoot!!
Olmo, My boss at the shop has a great relationship with the U.S. Distributor, we have quite a few demo Ciocc's, carbon and steel, very nice, you would love the Olmo's we build here!! Tommasini's also
SPin Cycle, yup, you are correct!! Blue Healer, white with blue spots
euro, yeah, a bit different on the front d cable, but very efficient, and pretty sharp, love the cable stop with no un-sightley riveting. 36/46 front, cross specific, and an 11-28 rear, this bike will get raced a bit, and ridden a ton!!
that is Snow jpouchet, no nuclear fallout from Los Alamos yet!! ha ha -
Dude...with all the weight you lost and a super light bike, I'll bet you're loving the extra speed. Nice ride...definitely not something you see everyday. I like the orange...=)
