    Tinypic.com

Upload photo (watch a 5 second ad) and then copy and paste link to the forum. Copy and paste the link that says for forums and chat rooms. Can't do it from an iPad but a PC or Mac is easy. Very simple.

Once a photo is uploaded to a hosting site, right click on the image and highlight "Copy image URL".

Come here and use the following syntax to post the image here:

{img src="image" /} Instead of {}, you'll need to use <>. If I typed it in the sentence, the link goes "live".

The image url for my Shiv photo is http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e15/Power13/IMG_01851.jpg

put in the syntax above, and voila!!

    Just say "NO!!" to WCP!

Since we're o the tutorial tip here, can someone guide me through the process of quoting a comment from a post?

Never did learn how to do that.

    Quoting syntax -
{blockquote} section / sentence to be quoted

    {/blockquote} your own comments.

Again, replace the {} symbols with <>.

LSD forget having to change the script on every pic you post on a web site. Just look at the directions it took CK two posts just to explain them. http://www.tinypic.com

Hey, neat, it works. Sort of a chatch move to post this pic but hey you don't break the tape every week. Photo by Kevin Dillard.

For disclosure purposes, I am a partner in November Bicycles. This fact probably colors everything I say. I'm clearly not to be trusted.

Interesting.....they changed how you could post images here. When the board changed over to it's current format a few years ago, the "img" syntax would no longer work, hence the need to use the syntax I posted above.

If you know either syntax, I think it is still faster to post web images by just typing in the syntax and right clicking to get the image URL rather than using tinypic.com, however.

I did it the CK way, it took 2 seconds. Since I always create strong preferences before exploring any alternatives, that will be the way I do it, and I will viciously defend the superiority of this method.

CK love that color scheme on your tri bike.

"Riding is about rhythm and flow. It's the wind in your face and the challange of hammering up a long hill. It's the reward at the top and the thrill of a high-speed descent. Biking lets you come alive both in body and spirit."

Spud, I am a huge fan of red / white / black bikes. All my bikes for the last 22 years have been i that color scheme. Suffice to say, your Colnago gives me a funny feeling in my nether regions....

Actually tweaing my Shiv now. tape has gone to black and I am gonna change the deals to the new "Beyond Black" decals from Zipp. Gonna post a new pic shortly (hopefully!!)

Bob. Oh Bob, I feel so misunderstood. That "yellow thing" is not me. This was me. Mine was a 1967, not '57 but they all looked the same.

I could get that sucker up to 40 - 50 kmph easy...

I hear ya bikesabit, my first real cycle was a Triumph T100R Daytona 500.

After I got married I needed something larger and went to a Honda Super Sport 750.

Bob what year was your Honda made? I had one which looked about the same (same color too) it was ~mid-70s. It was a lot of fun, but I figured if I wanted to live through my 20s I'd better sell it. Now that I'm well entrenched in middle age, maybe I've finally gained the necessary maturity to get another motorbike.

After the 250 Java 2 stroke my next bike was

the 305 Scrambler. Life, living and a love quiet made me outgrow it. No regrets, "Non, je ne regrette rien" I like being the engine now. I'd bet that's one thing we can all agree on.
