Help. Clothing for standing, drinking beer in freezing snowy mud...seriously.

Hmmmm....unfortunately, the prospects of my attendance at the races are growing dimmer and dimmer.

    1) Will be in Taiwan from 1/26 - 2/1. Best I could do is drive down sometime on 2/2, but way jet-lagged.

    2) Super Bowl is the same day. WTF? Who the hell scheduled this thing on the same weekend as the biggest sporting event in the US (decide for yourselves which is which...HAH!). But we usually have a party that day with the neighbors.....

    Fook.

    Just say "NO!!" to WCP!

UCI conspiracy, anyone? Dictate the World Champ date to that of that country's biggest sporting event so few will turn out. A good way to keep it from coming back anytime soon.

    Just a thought.

"standing, drinking beer in freezing snowy mud: sounds a lot like hunting. bass pro shop will be your friend."

FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My exact thoughts!!!! Except I'd say it is hunting, not a lot like it!!!

Thought I'd bump this up. Ten day forecasts in the midwest are notoriously inaccurate. But, right now I'm hoping that The Weather Channel is more accurate than Accuweather or Wunderground. Wunderground was similar to The Weather Channel until today.

Holy fook is right, dayum. Big family and friends get together that day for the game and not the game of cyclocross. The game will most likely start later though so I should be able to stream the Worlds?

Superbowl - Is that like an extra big toilet that can handle megaloaders?

Meh, haven't watched ball sports in 15 years. On a different note, Louisville weather.....wtf? Is it normal for it to be 68 and raining then a few days later be 30 and snowing. How do people deal with that shit?

The whole winter has been out of whack in the Mid-West. In Chicago, we went almost 1 year between snowfalls measuring more than 1" (355 days).....and we just barely broke an inch today. First time I have used a snow shovel all winter.

Supposed to be 55* this week in Chi-Town....but I'm gonna be in Taiwan. :-(

Normal? No, but not completely unexpected. How do you deal with not having 4 seasons? ;-)

Fair enough Jacobus, but to be fair we have four seasons, T-shirt, T-shirt, T-shirt and sweatshirt.

That's tanning weather, don't forget to bring the spf:)

I remember a childhood evening late at night in Mt Prospect ILL where I could skip spit across the sidewalk and driveway. The spit would freeze before hitting the pavement and bounce brrr. It was a cold snap, 20-30 below zero, 50-60 below freezing. It did take a proper arc, velocity, and proper spit shape/mass. Fun memory.

Also not uncommon to almost get frostbitten. Usually fingers and toes - maybe ear lobes too. If the weather is going to be below zero at worlds, you California dudes may want to google how to dress to avoid frostbite.
