I actually find this quite en-lighting, and not because of what he says about Armstrong. For the lover's, this post is not about Armstrong....sorry.

Back in the day Bettini was one of those guys who people whispered was using PEDs. What I take from this is that people like him want an amnesty program in place, so that they don't get canned for coming clean like anyone involved with SKY did. I might be reading too much into this, but I see a glimmer of hope that people are looking for a way to collapse the omerta further. I take hope that some people are willing to come forward, but they don't want it at the risk of losing their jobs.

Ibex good on you for seeing the positive side of this. My first reaction was more like, Mr Pot meet Mr Kettle

A ex-Mapei is calling on someone else to come clean? Please Paulo save it until you have confessed.

I read this bit with an "oh please" attitude too. That said, I think Ibex is correct in thinking that PB wants an amnesty program so he can confess his doping.

wasn't there a big dust-up with the Rickety Cricket right before the 2007 Worlds? An anti-doping pledge was akin to a human rights violation if I remember correctly. Lawsuits, personal umbrage and Italian Princess drama
