Today's NY Times sports section has an interesting article about the cheats, bigots and, in Ty Cobb's case, sociopaths that have been elected to the Hall of Fame.
I never understood why they kept Pete Rose out. Wasn't the vast majority of his betting after his playing days? He was a great baseball player. Did he do anything to diminish his value as a player while he was playing?
