claim before the Feds join in? Just thinking this could be one reason for the Justice Department to now place a rush on their decision if they intend to join. Seems like they might not be able to piggy-back once the plaintiff drops? According to WSJ I believe, LA's team is talking with Floyd's team?

There is no way Floyd backs off of this, he stands to make a tidy profit when this is all said and done. If you add that to the toxic relationship between the 2, you have quite a interesting situation

I can't see how Floyd could possibly back off now... "I've got ya right where I want ya, now I'm gonna eat ya!".

Yeah, Floyd's gonna break LA's ball with this. Not a TdF win, but not a bad 'consolation prize'.

    Karma.

ESPN reported this morning that the Justice Department has recommended joining the lawsuit.

And Flandis has long since gotten over his "LA Awe"....and he is (rightfully) p*ssed. No way he reconciles w/ LA.

    Just say "NO!!" to WCP!

Ya think the thought hasn't crossed Lance's mind "maybe we should have signed Floyd onto the Shack?" A 100k a year and this never would have reared its ugly head.

The last thing I want to see is one cheater forced to give a ton of cash to another cheater. Really what is the point in that ?

Landis deserves it no more than Lance does.

Mike - all cheating is equal is that what you're saying?

    If so, that is ridiculous.

    Are all crimes equal?

    Are all speeders the same?

Jesus, why do you think we have a judicial system?

Dropping it would lead to a spot on Lance's triathlon team. I think Floyd would insist on that.

He better settle with Floyd because this article says he could be on the hook for 100 million (seems a bit strange to me). But why wouldn't all the other Poasties be under the gun too? They all doped.

Floyd is sticking to his guns and will see this thing through not only for the monetary gain, but the pain inflicted on cancer jesus.

Pa biker ... So you are ok giving Landis a couple of million for doping , cheating and lying ?

I never said they are equal. I never said either one of them should have a dime.

Get off your freaking high horse and don't jump on my ass

Twisting words on this site is unreal

I'm sure no one cares, but I'm out.

I'm ok with Flandis getting money under the Federal Whistleblower Statute. Where the whistleblower is entitled to something like 30% of the Federal funds recovered by the situation he helped bring to light or prosecute. It's not an award for good behaviour it's an incentive to help keep people from defrauding our government. If we can recover $100 million (or even $10 million) of our money that Lance lied and perjured himself to obtain then, yes I'd be happy to give Flandis his share. Hopefully, there will be some seperate action that forces him to return money to all the gullible folks who helped him out, but that is another matter altogether.

And yeah, no one cares when you or anyone else needs to "check out", "I'm outta here", "taking time off", "can't take this forum's BS anymore"; and when you come back we don't need a reminder of why you left or a diatribe on what's wrong with all of us - just stay away if that's what it takes.
