I am becoming more and more disenchanted w/ Wiggins as time goes by....

    Just say "NO!!" to WCP!

Respectfully - I don't think it's a good read - it's written by someone with no knowledge of the situation, writing an imbalanced article

The writer has cherry picked Wiggins'comments - conveniently missing his statement for the Guardian during the tour

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2012/jul/13/bradley-wiggins-dope-drugs

and I loved hearing Nicole Cooke speak - she was spot-on

I'm sure the argument has be made lots of time on this forum - every rider and team should be subject to the strictest controls, there should be no tolerance of doping, any infringement should result in bans (probably lifetime), UCI hierarchy needs a complete change - and to be transparent about the past so we can move on

Wiggins is not persistently eloquent speaker on anti-doping (although the above piece is pretty good) but you cant make baseless accusations about people based on absolute zero evidence. That's why Wiggins gets pissed at Kimmage - and I have a lot of respect for Kimmage.

I will be the first to condemn, Wiggins, or anyone else, Sagan, Gilbert, Nibali etc. if there is evidence of doping.

“No, I don’t. Because so many cyclists were doing it back then. You look at the guys that were finishing second or third or fourth, and they’ve all been done [for drugs]. Lance Armstrong was just the best at drug taking. But rather than feel let down by him, I think that whole generation let us down.”

Precisely. This is why LA isn't and shouldn't be truly remorseful. Does anyone think for one moment that had he raced during the same era Merckx wouldn't have been in the thick of it as well, using whatever it took to win and keeping winning?

    Cav certainly isn't holding back

“During the years we’re talking about in terms of Lance doping I was at school,' he added. "We don’t assume every current BBC presenter is a sexual deviant because of what Jimmy Savile and his cronies were doing in the 1970s.

“So why are we carrying the can for Lance and his inner circle?”
