Some of us love habaneros, those little, flavorful bell peppers. Others can't handle capsaicin at all and have to settle for Habenzer0s. It's their loss. (Isn't that properly spelled Habanzer0 with two "a"s?)

Habanero's are good for hot flavor, but for sheer heat try scotch bonnets or naga jalokias.

Hab, those habaneros are widely available around here. And I love the flavor. Try cutting a fresh one and holding it to your nose. They smell (and taste beneath that fire) like an exotic Pacific island citrus fruit.

The fancier ones you mentioned I see maybe once a year (probably next October). I should get some and see if I can start the seeds. The heat of those habs is also very seasonal and batch dependent. They vary from just very hot to just short of lethal.

    Thanks, Ben
