Rasmussen - have at it
-
"I'm shocked. Shocked!"
classic WM!
-
"...your winnings sir..."
It is his word versus ours. We like our word. We like where we stand and we like our credibility."--Lance Armstrong. -
yep, shocking...
At least he went all in though. None of this "I stopped just before the statute of limitations runs out"
-
thats what I was thinking -- note to Lacne. This is how you confess
-
He is the first pro that I know of that has admitted to doping in the "clean years" of 2007 to 2010. I think that's a pretty impressive confession.
-
So, let me get this straight:
I didn't!!!! I didn't!!! I didn't!! I didn't! No, really. I didn't.
.
.
.
.
Well, OK. Yeah I did. -
Lacne and The Chicken: birds of a feather. Nope, no surprises here.
-
really true Armstrong, Chicken and I would add ARod. All serial liars who cheated the game and anyone else who stood in the way of their winning. Oh yeah and making a bazillion dollars.
-
But I thought he couldn't talk because each time he did, he'd have to pay X amount of $ to Rabo?
It'll be interesting to see what comes of this. We pretty much already know what was going on at Rabo and who the inner circle were there. The juicy part may be in the warnings about the Chicken that went from Riis to Raas prior to his transfer to Rabo. So Riis must have been in the know.
The wise man said follow me...and he walked behind. -
The chicken squawked....
"To be free and to live a free life - that is the most beautiful thing there is."
Miguel Indurain -
What response does Rasmussen get for coming clean? Is he attacked and villified?
Sure. That's how it works.
And will these heaps of scorn help to solve the larger problem of rampant doping and the omerta, by encouraging other dopers (which may be the majority of riders, who knows) also to come clean? Or will piling on just prove once again that it's better to keep quiet and thereby promote the status quo?
-
He figured he was clucked......
"Riding is about rhythm and flow. It's the wind in your face and the challange of hammering up a long hill. It's the reward at the top and the thrill of a high-speed descent. Biking lets you come alive both in body and spirit." -
More like plucked.
Holy moly!
Life is too short to be small. - Disraeli
So, why not be petty? - The Short White Guy™ -
Ugh, that is just not right.
-
Man...I was about to go to lunch.
Totally killing my appetite.

LATE BREAKING NEWS: 68 years after the end of WWII, GIs discovered a secret concentration camp on the grounds of Rabobank in Utrecht, Netherlands. Sources say they were shocked to find that medical experiments had been performed on the prisoners, saying they were horrified to find prisoners who looked like this...
-
Wonder how many times Rasmussen was tested over his career. He is no Lance, lol, and did not race nearly as long - so I would guess 200+
-
It just shows a bike racer can't survive on an IV diet.
-
I think Rassmusson had no choice but confess. I wonder how many pheasants the chicken has flushed from the brush?
-
He looks like the poster child for the anorexia crowd.
