Presidio I am guessing? Doesn't look like Sea Cliff based on the view to Marin. Anyway, Bob, thanks for the pic. It brings back some nice memories.

I was just telling my wife last night that as a young racer, I really enjoyed early evenings, riding back over the Golden Gate Bridge from Marin where I would train, zipping down to the marina thru Chrissy Field, grabbing a burrito (and putting it hot right into my jersey pocket) and gliding back up to Russian Hill where I lived. That was a ritual 3 or 4 nights after work in day light savings. And I had a real decent apartment with a garage space and rent control!

Those were the days and of course, I didn't know it. Wow - January.

I'll be laughing though when you send the fog bank pics in July and I can show you the diving into the pool pic after a nice warm ride in SoCal.

the river is frozen solid today, I find this is extremely depressing.

I hope you bike gets dirty and your chain lube is too sticky:)

Great day for a bike ride; at least it is dry!

It actually turned into a pretty nice afternoon.

Came across two guys in better shape than me = some quality time in the sufferbus on river road and a much faster ride than planned. Good stuff.

An old pic, but this is kinda what today was like

I was in SFO on WED for business - and it was stupid nice out there: 65 and fricking perfect... no time for a ride (nor means) had to settle for a Marriot fitness center 45 min express workout <sigh>

    Bodynazi,

That is why we pay the bigbucks to live out here in Cali, and the west coast of Canada and Mexico.

    Don't believe me.?

Ride from Carmel to Cambria through Big Sur!!

    120 miles.

    Epic!!!!!

Or Western Marin, Sonoma County, the East Bay Hills. SantaCruz mountains, etc., etc.,

BN - next time go down to Palo Alto, there's a bike place that rents quality bikes on Stanford Campus if memory serves. Minutes from killer climbs! You can get there easy by taking the train down.

Santa Cruz mountains - don't remind me; I lived in Santa Cruz for several year and then later in Palo Alto for another. Second best place for riding I ever lived (nothing has beat Limburg + Belgium so far).

Big Sur was better for Sykes Hotsprings tho :-)
