    My money is on Boonen, although it's probably too early in his season.

    Big fan of Boonen but I doubt he'll be in the mix; that elbow infection + operation really set him back. The way he recounted it, he's lucky not to have lost his arm.

    Last word on CN was that he has been back on the bike for a couple weeks, but far below where he normally is this time of year, but feeling OK.

    Still time before April, but it is gonna be tough to get into full fighting form, I think.

    Just say "NO!!" to WCP!

    It'll always be Het Volk to me. Sagan will begin his reign as the new king of spring.

    What JS just said....on both counts.

    (Well, I dunno that Sagan will be the new "King of Spring" just yet, but he is gonna cash the check come this weekend)

    Agree, Sagan will be looking for some 'spring' classics though February is NOT Spring.

    Looks chilly indeed. Exciting time of year.

    On a side note, I thought only high school girls used the term "sleeps"

    Boonen was happy to finish in the peleton today and not behind it.

    Gilbert did better but he's not near Sagan which may tell story of spring to come.

    I'm hoping Boom will finally break through to make the competition a bit broader. He's been inching closer every year and the Tour Med TT showed he's on the right track.

    (edit - I guess I must feel giddy like a high-school girl for her prom!)

    OC, If I remember from your photo, you are no HS girl...even if you do wear a prom dress when no one is looking! ;}

    I would love to see some good battles this spring!

    Almost time to set the alarm clock.

    We've got some nice hardman weather here to set the mood; this morning I got caught in a brief hailstorm. Friday's training ride: Rain. Windy. Low plus 3. High 7.

    (jm - that info is in the vault just like the riding bull incident - never happened)
