What do you want to do? Lots of riding. A few below (pm function doesn't work for me - pilot error no doubt).
If Sat / Sun - SC Velo ride at 8:15 at Performance Cyclery (no, not that national chain Performance, local shop). Route can be found at: http://www.santaclaritavelo.com/
Some popular / faves:
1) Soledad Canyon road out of town is the "path" to many rides. A few common routes
a: Take to Sand Canyon, hang a right. Go about three miles to Placerita Cny and hang a right if you just want a 1.5 hr loop. That'll take you back to Sierra Hway and you can get back to town
b: Bear Divide or Camp 9. If you want to climb, stay straight on Sand, climb 3 miles to the saddle (Bear Divide) then come back down. If you want to climb further, hang a right at the rest stop just past the saddle, and climb 3.5 more miles to Camp 9 - a fire station / lookout. Awesome climb, some steep sections. Turn around, come down back to Placerita or straight back Sand to Soledad.
2) San Fransquito / Spunky / Bouquet Canyon - 50 or so mile loop, fair bit of climbing. Take one of the bike paths near McBean to the end, hang a right on Copper Hill, a few blocks left on San Fransquito (2 lane country road so be careful). Go about 15 or so miles into Green Valley (soom after a mid size climb with pipes coming out of the left side). Hang a right on Spunky (store right there). Climb out of Green Valley, descend down to a resevoir, then hang a right on Bouquet Cyn rod. Short climb up the resevoir, then a 9 mile descent back into town.
Anyway, tell me what you want to do - lots of options or send me a note.
Best-
J
