I wasn't going to say anything 'cause I didn't want to draw attention to it, but since there's only 3 or 4 reading the forum now what's to worry about?
Anybody else read Hood's retrospective on Doping stories of 2010? Its on page 2 by now. Absolute rubbish. Correction: worthless rubbish. First he dismisses anyone with anti-doping sentiments as "cynics". Then he trivializes the very real doping mess by including the "Cancellara (sp)has a motor in his down tube" nonsense, which ain't doping. Then some stupid "insight" along these lines, "Duh, the UCI said it was gonna be fast, but it sure is taking a long time, duh." Lastly, by the time the dust has settled from this hard hitting piece of journalism he has neglected to even mention 1)The second coming of Dr. Fuentes 2) The Italian case related to Petacchi ( I forget the names) where an entire family gets banned from attending ANY sporting events in Italy 3) The masters busts related to the Joe Papp case or 4) etc etc. He did manage to wax eloquent on the plight of a couple of U23 Polish cyclocrossers.
Looked to me like he was given 45 minutes for the assignment, and had it dodne in 30. RIP VN
