To keep things tidy, please post only your time

    ie: 38:48

No stories, anecdotes, caveats, distance is 20K - we already know that and if we want to calculate your average speed we can. For stories, just start a new thread or use one that already exists.

    Hope you have (had) fun.

Funny thing, the Giro TT today is uphill and 12.7k. Winner will be about 30 minutes or less.

I did a 20K on my road bike finally. I figured my TT time wasn't fair as too many others were using road bikes.

12.42 miles in 30:40. Averaged 24mph and was completely dead afterwards. On my TT bike, I can ride 27mph. So you really appreciate the aero advantage of a TT setup.

It's all rollers out here in Maryland. Nothing extreme, just lots of 2 or 3% gradient hills followed by downhills.

Funny thing, when I do time trials, my 40K times are almost always the same whether I do a completely flat course, or a rolling hilly course. Not sure why this is, as the hilly courses always feel harder. I guess it balances out when you do out and backs.

Also, I just noticed jmitch posted the exact same time. Cool!

My June time was almost identical to May. 30:27 this month vs 30:24 last month. I did go a couple hundreths of a mile further and had some trouble clipping in. Oh well. I'd like to have a calm day for one of these.

Finally getting around to posting my 20k time. I calculated it from my 15mile TT pace, if that's okay. Anyway, the time worked out to be 28:57 at that pace.

    Linus,

How could that possibly be OK? How about I do a 200 meter sprint on my bike and extrapolate it out to 20K?

Is there reason to believe you are faster than the fastest rider who has posted times here by well over a minute?

    C-Cog,
Simple. Because 15 miles is farther than 20k.
